My name is Maria Antonieta Nestor but everyone calls me “Antoinette”. I am passionate about helping people and communities thrive and flourish in their community economic development endeavours. I completed my PhD at the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin where I specialised in community economic development (ced) lawyering. I also hold a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from University College Dublin (UCD) and an LLM from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). I was the first foreign student to be admitted into the prestigious David J. Epstein Programme in Public Interest Law & Policy in August 2008, where I piloted an LLM specialisation. I also hold a diploma in journalism, I am a trained legal interpreter and translator and I am the co-founder and past co-editor of The Irish Review of CED Law & Policy.
I am also the Director and Founder of A Toy’s Life and Beyond CIC, a not-for-profit community interest company based in Cambridge, UK, whose purpose is to teach children about recycling and the circular economy in a fun way.
I am also the producer and host of a new community radio show called The Eddington Hour.
